The free energy created by the oxidation of Glucose can be used to create ATP.
Calculate the number of moles of ATP that can be created by the oxidation of one mole of glucose.
Do I just preform basic stoichiometry to solve this?
Is this the correct solution? In my answer key, they use this formula some how:
Personally, I've never seen this equation in my life, nor can I figure out how it was derived. This answer key has been wrong 3 times in the past, so I am pretty skeptical.
Can someone please explain how this problem should be solved? Thanks!
