Saponification problem in Biochem
« on: November 09, 2010, 06:13:37 PM »
Given 8.00 g of oleyl disteryl glycerine write to CxHyOz formula of it and then calculate the molecular weight, the number of moles, the moles of KOH needed to saponify, the number of mLs of 0.350 M KOH needed to saponify, and the number of moles of I2 necessary to saturate.

I have half of this problem worked out...I think it's correct but could someone explain the problem to me to make sure that even what I have done is right. I really really need help on the last three parts of the question though. I have no clue how to work out the problems
