Miceller electrokinetic capillary chromatography is a technique based on electrophoresis while liquid chromatography is chromatographic.

What is the advantage of miceller electrokinetic chromatography over liquid chromatography????//

please any one who has any idea about that please tell me i ll be thankful.

Prince Umair,

MECE/MEKC is a great little technique with some fairly large advantages (for certain applications) over conventional LC. Separation efficiency is pretty impressive and in the case of the detection and analysis of forensically significant organic residues (an area in which the technique has huge application) has shown an efficiency of 200,000 to 400,000 theoretical plates. The other big advantage is the rate of separation (which can be achieved in about 10mins) and the tiny volumes that are required for the separation itself. I understand that the technique has application to the pharmaceutical industry, being 'paticularly suited to the analysis of combinatorial libraries'.

Kind Regards

R
