Question about a good broad Chemistry magazine
« on: November 29, 2010, 04:58:30 PM »
Hey guys,

First of all hopefully I'm not posting this in an inappropriate forum.

I was wanting to know if anyone had any recommendations about a general Chemistry magazine to help me stay current on the subject.  I have my B.S. in Chemistry but currently I'm working a job where I'm mainly doing computer modeling.  I'm looking for the Chemistry equivalent of PopSci or something similar.  I know there are thousands of very specific Chemistry journals that are very expensive and also usually rather specific.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you very much.

Matthew

The Royal Society of Chemistry in the UK produce "Chemistry World" every month http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Thanks for the suggestion, that was my first choice from what I had seen so far but I wasn't really sure about the subscription fee.

Fellow (FRSC)    £108
Associate Member (AMRSC)   £65
Member (MRSC)    £108
Affiliate/Affiliate (undergraduate)   £65/£16

I'm not really sure what I would be considered of those if any.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
