Well I have a pretty sound understanding of how to determine the shape of a molecule my only issue is when there is more than one central atom.
Hydrazine is N2H4. How does one determine the shape especially when there are more than one central atoms ?
Additionally does this method of sorts change when the central atoms are of different types ?
In the case of hydrazine, it's probably best to consider the groups around one nitrogen as being two hydrogens and one larger, "superatom", consisting of NH
2. I'm not sure what you're asking in the follow-up, can you elaborate?
