Three Acid Mixture Concentration Determination
« on: December 02, 2010, 12:54:40 AM »
I have been racking my brain trying to determine a method for determining the concentration of individual acids in a three acid mixture of hydrochloric, phosphoric, and hexafluorosilicic acid. I don't even know if I can do this by a standard titration...any ideas?

Titrations don't always have to be acid-base (in the Lowry-Broensted sense) in nature...

"hydrochloric, phosphoric, and hexafluorosilicic acid"
Determine Cl in HCL, Determine P in H3PO4, Determine Si & F in H2SiF6;
determine %'s stoichiometrically.
Done.
