Hello everybody.
I would like to ask you a question about distillation.
If perfluorocarbons are inert, safe and have weak intermolecular forces, causing them not to mix with almost every compound, why aren't they used in a co-distillation process?
For example, couldn't we use a mixture of perfluorohexane and water to distill at app. 50 ÂșC and decant the mixture afterwards?
Thank you
