I am getting a lead solution at 1mg/L for my bio experiment but I am just wondering, is a heavy metal like lead acid or basic?
And how would I go about calculating this?

I don't think this concentration of lead solution would change the pH (notably) however, you can use a pH strip to confirm if it's neutral, basic, or acidic.

Why would a salt solution be acidic assuming your salt is lead nitrate?

What about hydrolysis?
