Solubility Problem
« on: September 05, 2005, 12:32:19 PM »
I'm having trouble determining if these two compounds are soluble or insoluble.

LiO & CuPO4

My solubility table does not list them and I cannot find an answer online.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Ever seen O2- ions in solution?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

So only the CuPO4 would be insoluble?  Is that what you are implying??

I am asking because I need to know if an exchange reaction would take place when the two solutions are mixed together:

NH4NO3 + Li3PO4

KClO3 + Li3PO4

CuSO4 + Li3PO4

 Cs2O + Li3PO4

I am correct in saying that only the 3rd mixture in my list will allow for an exchange reaction to take place?
