Redox Reactions problems

Na2SO3 + H2O + I2 -> HI + Na2SO4

i.) to what is the iodine reduced?
ii.) Hence to what must the sulphite ion be oxidized?

My answers to i.) Na2SO3
                    ii.) I2

these questions are not that simple right? i probably got the wrong answers... Please help.

Iodine was reduced to sulfite, and sulfite was oxidized to iodine? Looks like pure alchemy to me, transmutation and so on.

Assuming you just accidentally switched answers - it still doesn't make sense. Sulfite oxidized to sulfite (or iodine reduced to iodine) sounds like no reaction at all.
