potassium permangate
in acidic and in alkali condition
what is their difference?
I know that both potassium permangate and potassium dichromate are strong O.A. but why only potassium permangate would react with alkENE?

the manganese oxidation state after reaction depend on pH ranging from +2 in acid to +6 in alkaline.
