Complex: MO & hybridization
« on: September 28, 2005, 08:39:18 AM »
When using MO theory to explain the bonding properties of a complex, on metal side, should we use atomic orbitals or hybridized atomic orbitals?

Which one is better?

One is an underestimate of the energy, the other is an overestimate. Ask a professor which one they prefer.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
