Dillution factor question
« on: October 30, 2011, 03:21:59 PM »
in the lab, i have a 90mL solution (water) mixed with 10mL sample, so overall volume is 100mL. the dillution factor is 10, right?
then i transferred 1 mL of that solution to a 99mL solution (water), and the dillution factor for that is 100. am i supposed to multiply 100 with 10 for the overall dillution factor?

The first 10x dilution seems legit.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
