Mixing Copper with HCl?

How many grams of copper will dissolve if 10.0 g of Cu pellets are mixed in 100 mL of 1.0 M HCl?
The answer is 0.0 g, but I thought that CuCl
2
was soluble? Or is there something else that I'm missing out on?
