I have a question about Nuclear Waste disposal:
Why can't they just gather all the waste accumulated from nuclear power plants and release it into Outer space?

What is mass of the waste? What is cost of putting 1 kg of anything on the orbit? And what will you do if the rocket explodes, dispersing waste everywhere?
