Give Me Kinetics Problems!
« on: December 08, 2011, 11:06:20 PM »
I'm preparing for a gen chem final (though it's exclusively on kinetics) and have already worked twice the few problems I was given.  Unfortunately, our text, Zumdahl, doesn't have very challenging or interesting questions on the topic.  My chem prof likes conceptual questions, very much in the vein of 'now that you've learned that, let's try this brand new thing on the test.'

I'm asking you to ask me kinetics problems, the kind that aren't plug and chug but that a well prepared student could handle in ~30 minutes.  For those of you well past Gen chem, what would you ask to evaluate a student's understanding of the material?

This class only assumes single variable calculus, but if you have a more mathy problem for me I'm down to try.
