What would you expect to happen if you added a piece of copper to an iron(III) chlordie solution? Why?

copper + iron (III) chloride --> copper (III) chloride + iron
this occurs because it is a single displacement reaction...hope this helps

are you sure copper displaces iron?

iron is ranked higher than copper in the metal reactivity series.
