caesium dichloroiodate reaction

when i react my product caesium dichloroiodate (I) solution with KI , the solution changed from orange to a dark browny orange colour and some black precipitates was formed.
got a formula for this CsICl2 + KI = CsKCl2I2

what can i tell the purity of my product from this observation? thanks

I think your Dichloroiodate works as oxidiser and will oxidise the Iodide to Iodine.

2 ICl2- +  2 I- => 4 Cl- +  2 I2
