So i'm trying to figure out how this oxazalidinone ring forms:

The reagents are Potassium carbonate, and its heated to 135 degrees celsius. My prediction is that the OEt group would leave and the alcohol would be deprotonated by it. This will then cause a bond to form the ring structure.

Please let me know what you think, I've attached the picture.

What role is the potassium carbonate playing here?
This process is a transesterification.

How is the experiment set up? Why do you need to heat the reaction to 135 C?
