15-min chemistry lesson for kids.
« on: December 12, 2011, 07:47:59 AM »
I need to prepare a small lecture on chemistry for kids(10-12 y.o.) who have never learned chemistry or learned it for a short time.

I shall not do any experiments, only the lecture with or without PowerPoint presentation.

It might be popular explanation of some theoretical chemistry concept, or a lecture on connection of  chemistry to technology, nature or everyday life.

So far I have 2 suggestions: why does soap washes dirt and what is the difference between physical and chemical phenomenons.

 Any more suggestions?

This site has some good tutorials, I really like the way he explains things, very clear.  Try to emulate his style no matter what topic you decide to work with.
