Phosphate Removal from Water

Hi,
Does anyone know of alternative methods to lanthanum for removing phosphate from water? Over the last couple of years the cost of lanthanum has increased immensely.
Thanks!

Distillation or ion exchange would do it.

Got in alittle late on this, but Ferric Chloride removes phosphates if you can employ a settling chamber.
FeCl3 + PO4[-3] ----> FePO4 + 3Cl [-1]
But now you have chloride in your water.
