Risks of taking oxytocin when taking creatine?
« on: January 01, 2012, 02:10:00 PM »
Hey I'm new, just registered to get a few doubts cleared out (if you don't mind obviously).

Basically, I do a lot of sports and I take some supplements (whey protein, creatine and maxi efa, which is a small pill that contains fish oil, EPA, DHA, omega 3 polyunsaturates, borage oil, GLA, d-alpha tocopherol, gelatine, glycerol and lecithin). I've been receiving treatment for anxiety and I've been given the option to take oxytocin (syntocinon) to help with it (I'm a guy).
I've asked about side-effects and it all seemed ok except for hyponatremia (basically excess water accumulating in the body, but for more info you can check here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hyponatremia/DS00974) which I'm afraid might occur due to the effects of creatine? I'm not sure whether it would happen as a matter of dosage or if the problem would occur simply by combining both.

For personal reasons I do not want to tell my physician that I am taking creatine though, so I'm unsure what to do. Has anyone here encountered a similar situation with these two products? Thanks in advance
