Hello,
I want to know if it's right to call a potential manager asking for a business card?! I'm afraid such gesture won't help me , although I need contact info to address my cover letter .I search through all possible network and company insiders but I haven't get an answer yet.
 

I want to act like who I'm , and I'll call if it's up to me. but I don't know.


Chemists please help me.

Use a generic address, like Dear Sir or Madam, and write the letter with the best content possible.  If its good, it will be helpful.  You can do your best to try to find out who will read the letter, and try to address personally.    If you'd met the person at some sort of open house, or career event, or you'd heard them speak, that's fine.

If I understand your "wink" icon, you seem to imply that you will call, pretending to be someone else, to get their name.  That's ... that's just wrong ... improper behavior ...bad.  The concept just leaves me flustered.  Dishonest.  Needy.  Borderline stalking.  Seriously, just try to clear your mind a do a good job on the letter's content.

I think you get it wrong. Actually, I meant two things. first, how relive I am to be myself avoid being locked in an attractive persona that might collapse next day. second, how things work if you start take initiative actions to solve your situation counting on yourself.anyway, I'm much wiser than take impulsive react that will made me regret.
