molality and dissassociation

i have this formula (change in freezing temp.=frezzing point constant X m [molality] X n [the number of partilces formed from the disassociation]) but i am only give the change in temp and the constant and they want the effective molality or m X n.
how do i get this?

It depends on compound you use.
