nuclear bromination

what is nuclear bromination? the term was used by my teacher in one of his lectures but i am not able to establish its any concrete meaning by looking at the example for which he used it..

You mean bromination of an aromatic ring?
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!
