references for deciding polarity of molecule????

Anyone know of some references that I could use to determine the polarity of a molecule.  I have no way of experimentally doing this, it has to be on paper.  I know that one can look at symmetry of the molecule and the more asymmetrical is more polar, usually.  Anyone??

There are some tables of "eluting power" which are used to guide solvent selection for chromatography, but they are undoubtedly limited.

Thanks, I wasn't really wanting something to just give out all the answers.  I was more or less interested in material like what we have in our lab.  We have The Handbook for Identification of Organic Compounds there.  I didn't know if there were any others similar.  Thanks anyway.
