Precipitate Reaction
« on: November 08, 2005, 11:57:10 PM »
I'm having trouble finding the product of this reaction:

Cu+2 (aq) + NaOH + H2O2 ----->    ?

I know the precipitate that is formed is CuOH2 however I do not know what happens with the Na and H2O2 .

Are the spectators, so they just get eliminated?

H2O2 in acidic media is a strong oxidized, but in basic media can act as an oxidiser or  a reductor.
This is a redox reaction
