HOMO LUMO Measurement of molecules
« on: February 20, 2012, 05:29:23 PM »
Hello everyone,

I have a problem with a zinc complex: I want to know its exact HOMO LUMO levels. Not just the band gap, but the eV relative to other molecules. E.g. here is a PDF list of some molecules: http://www.mccl.chem.ufl.edu/images/Work_Function_Reference_Poster_KEN.pdf

What methods can I use to get the information? And which one is the easiest, because I really need to know the HOMO LUMO levels of that compound ;) (I would even give it to a company to do the job for me, if necessary).

(btw: I already tried cyclic voltammetry on the compound, but no Redox reaction could be seen in the range possible for dichloromethane.)

Thanks for help and a nice discussion!
