3 easy questions for you!
« on: February 27, 2012, 01:10:08 AM »
1: Electrons from the first shell are the only ones that can form bonds?

2: Are amino acids made of nucleotides or nucleotides made of amino acids?

3: Can other than water molecules have hydrogen bonds or just water can?

1: I think yes because closest to the external layer.

2: I think nucleotides are precursors of amino acids so amino acids (larger) have nucleotides (smaller).

3: I think other things can have hydrogen bonds and not just water...because hydrogen is abundant.

1. Bonds are formed by valence electrons.
2. Look at the structures of these compounds. sequence of amino acids are coded by a triples of nucleotides.
3. Do you know definition of hydrogen bond? simple start - wikipedia: hydrogen bond or textbook
