Hey I'm going to fail Chemistry I!
« on: December 06, 2006, 11:00:55 PM »
We'll I got a D but I'm not planning on showing up for the final because there is no hope.

I had the chance to drop before the deadline, but then I talked to my instructor and he told me that I was fine and could get a C if I just got B's and C's on the few remaining exams.  But I got nothing but D's and probably an F on the exam I took today.

The sad thing is I had to take the Introductory course for General Chemistry twice also.  This was the last chemistry class I was going to have to take ever. I was going to be very happy about that.  It's a drain having to take classes over like that.  I really have to consider dropping out of college because I have to stop wasting so much time and money and thinking about just going to work.  25 is too old to be effing around with college like that.

We'll I guess I'll try again in a year. not next semester.

If you're already entered for the exam then you might as well give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. Work really hard for it, and you might suprise yourself.

It is a common phenomenon in Singapore that students who score D for their A level preliminary exams to score A for the same subject in the official A level exams.

"Say you're in a [chemical] plant and there's a snake on the floor. What are you going to do? Call a consultant? Get a meeting together to talk about which color is the snake? Employees should do one thing: walk over there and you step on the friggin snake." - Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of Glaxosmithkline, June 2006
