I have a question regarding sodium phosphates, specifically Sodium Hexametaphosphate.

Na6P6O18

Is this a monobasic, dibasic or tribasic compound???

Have a look at the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_hexametaphosphate

It is a hexasodium salt and contains andhyrides.
The P atoms are tribasic.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!
