Journal for CaCO3 + eggshell?
« on: June 01, 2012, 09:37:35 PM »
I'm trying to for a journal (academic or original journal) that has the procedure on determining the calcium carbonate content in an eggshell (using acid & base titration). I get a lot of results from google for this experiment, but cant find one that's a journal. The online journal sites i have tried for pubs.acs.org and ebsco host.
If anyone know where to find one let me know thanks =)

Why specifically journal?

Acid base titration is not a good way of determining calcium carbonate, as it it not the only substance reacting with acids in the eggshell.

project for class, prof wanted the source from a journal. I would like to quantitatively determine something from an egg then compare it to another egg; something simple, taking 1-3 lab periods.
any suggestions or thoughts?

Try Google Scholar for these searches - it gets rid of a lot of noise if you're looking specifically for journal articles.
