is it possible? Could household peroxide do the trick?

I don't think getting propionic acid from 2-propanol is feasible since the oxidation of 2-propanol gives acetone not propionic acid.  1-propanol would be a better starting material, although I don't know if hydrogen peroxide would oxidize it to propionic acid.
