Hello,
I have problems determining when a sugar is alfa/beta and L/D configurations. I have tried a lot of things, but somehow, it's not working. Let's say you start with a closed sugar ring, and you open it up to make a Fischer projection of it to determin alfa/beta and L/D...
Also if possible could it be illustrated with an easy example aswell as a very difficult and complicated carbohydrate?
AND
giving a compound a pKa, I know the pKA for example for -NH2, but how does this value change if it's in a compound, f.e. MeSO2NHPh?
Thank you in advance
