Questions on Alkyl Halides

Please Explain me how is this Compound  a Primary Alkyl Halide

1. CH3CH=CHC(Br)(CH3)2

2. What is an Oxidative Process?
    How is halogenation of alkanes an Oxidative Process?
    Is it that free radical substitution reaction Oxidative Process?

This is a tertiary halide.
Because the halogen gets reduced and the alkane oxidized
Free radicals are not formally an oxidation process they are a free radical process

It is a tertiary Halide Since Br is attached to a tertiary 'C' atom.
But in my college Text book they have mentioned it as Primary Halide.

As there are Primary, Sec ,Tert Halides
Are there Pri - Benzylic Halides, Sec - Benzylic Halides and Tert - Benzylic Halides ?

how should i go about identifying whether a compound is Pri,Sec,Tert Benzylic Halide?

Your book may be wrong. Which book are you using?

please suggest me a book for organic as well as inorganic chemistry .

March J. Advanced organic chemistry published by Wiley.
Don't know any inorganic texts ,  only those I used and they may be out of date.
There are suggestions at the top of every forum page for textbooks.
