Hello everyone,

If anyone out there is feeling extraordinarily generous, could you please please help with this problem! I'm absurdly hopeless with chemistry!

A 25.00mL sample of 'Cloudy Ammonia' was diluted to a volume of 250.00mL in a volumetric flask. A 25.00mL aliquot of the diluted solution was titrated with 0.200 M hydrochloric acid. To reach the end point, 26.75 mL of acid was required.
Calculate the concentration of ammonia in the cloudy ammonia.

NH3 + HCl > NH4Cl

Thank you very much for those resources! It's a great help indeed. The main problem is I was hoping to double check my answers somehow because I'm quite woefully inept at chemistry!

Thank you.

Hello, Sorry i missed that in the rules section!

These are my confused calculations so far:

n= 0.200 x 0.0159L = 0.00318 mol

NH3 + HCL
   1 :   1

v (aliquot)  = 25.00mL

c (aliquot) = 0.00318
                      0.025 L                            = 0.1272 M

C2 V2
V1                  = 0.00318 x 250.00
                                 25.00                   = 0.0318 M

Thanks!

Where did you got 0.0159L from?

Ahh, very good point indeed!! I see where these problems have begun!

Thank you very much.
