I am synthesizing graphene sheets on Cu wires via combustion. My question mainly has to do with a transfer process. I want to transfer the C sheets to Si substrates. One idea is to try to dissolve the Cu with an acid and have the C remain.
I am working with a very basic knowledge of chemistry (Gen. Chems 1 & 2) and do not know how to determine what sort of acid I should be trying. I know that HCl will not dissolve Cu, but what other acids should I be looking at? Is there any acid that is known to react with Cu but not with C?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!
