hello everyone,
I dont have very good chemistry back ground since i have left it 3years ago. I am doing a research and i m facing some problem. I want to know the relation btw concentration and mole fraction. Allow me to explain the problem.

Consider that you are given a one cubic big box consisting of Nitrogen gas in it initially. It is required to make the box contain a mixture of Nitrogen and Oxygen with the mole fraction of 0.3. Now the question is what is the concentration(cm-2/m-2) of Oxygen which has to be applied or feed to the box to create that mole fraction?

Thank you.

Start by looking up the definitions of mole fraction and concentration. For example:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_fraction

You must show an attempt at the question (Rules).

Quote
what is the concentration(cm-2/m-2)

Check your units.
