Hi everybody !
I wonder are there any strong acids that can melt&dissolve hard rocks but not metals like gold.I found some rocks that contain gold metal and I want to get the gold out of the rock. You can even see the gold metal with naked eye, however conventional or classical methods are too time consuming and not feasible.Any help will be appreciated a lot....thanks in advance...

It is not that easy. Most rocks won't dissolve in strong acids, only in HF (which technically is a weak acid). But you don't want to work with HF, trust me.

You can do some searches, on the general topic of gold refining, on Google and even on this forum, to learn some of the general concepts, and then you can see what specific information you need.
