Hey guys basically, I was reading a text on the atomic emission spectrum and I came across a box that said that the energy levels become closer together as the quantum number increases. Am I right in thinking that the higher the quantum number the lower the difference in energy from the previous energy level?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Yes that's true. The energy of the 'nth' energy level is inversely proportional to n2. And hence the difference keeps decreasing as n increases
