Removing Carbodiimide Bonds
« on: September 27, 2012, 11:38:04 AM »
Hi all,

I am wondering if there are ways of breaking off the carbodiimide crosslinks formed using EDC-NHS, particularly through high pH (>14).

Thank you.

Could you be just a little more specific?

You could try heating in 30% NaOH solution. Although it it hard to suggest anything without some structural info.
