What will happen?

Can you help me?

Ive got the reagents: silver thiocyanate AgSCN and bromine
The solvent is diethyl ether.

The product is a colourless sediment (at low temperatures).

What reaction occures and what is the sediment?

Why are you asking the same question again. Look further down on this page, you got some answers!

I am sorry...but it is not the same question.

it is silver thioCYANATE (AgSCN) and bromine (Br2) now.  :-\

i dont know...

but thiosulfate differs from thiocyanate.

With thiosulfate there would be a redoxreaction, I think. thiosulfate --> tetrathionate  and bromine-->bromide

But with thiocyanate...i dont know... ?!
