Functional Groups in MSG

I think MSG has three functional groups but can anyone tell me for sure?
I'm thinking it is an amine (NH2), a Ketone (the double bonded O next to the other O), and an Aldehyde (the double bonded O next to the alcohol).

There is an amine, but ketones are CC(O)C, aldehydes are CC(O)H.

CC(O)O is an entirely different functional group - hint: acetic acid.

Woops that's a carboxylic acid there with the OH. So is the side with just the O- anything special or are there just two functional groups then?

Well the side with the O- is there for a reason, any idea what it is?

It's also a carboxylic acid, it's just undergone a reaction with the sodium. So there is two unique functional groups

It's actually the sodium salt of the carboxylic acid. And it is there to increase the water solubility of the glutamic acid.

Not quite. The sodium salt of acetic acid is called sodium acetate, so what do you think you call the sodium salt of a general carboxylic acid?
