Protein folding and heat capacity
« on: November 20, 2012, 09:34:23 PM »
Hi,

Why does protein folding and hiding of the proteins surface results in a negative deltacp? Or even in protein protein interactions the association of proteins results in a large negative delta cp. Is it because it's related directly to enthalpy and as proteins interact they make interactions which result in the release of heat? Why bother looking at heat capacity then :S
