How do you calculate oxidation level (NOT oxidation number)?

So I'm given:

CH3CN

CH3CH2NH2

H2NCH2CH2NH2

I am supposed to know how to rank them in order of increasing oxidation level.
 The answer is:
 CH3CH2NH2 (oxidation level = -4) < H2NCH2CH2NH2 (O.L. = -2) < CH3CN (O.L. = 0)

How do I find the oxidation levels of each?

Thank you! :)

Only carbon is viewed!

You check oxidation numbers of each carbon. The summery gives the oxidation level.

This probably helps:

CH3CN :  left C is -3 right C is +3 in summery 0

Try for the other by yourself.
