Does a methylation of a tosylate using methylmagnesium bromide need to be at -78 of 0 deg C ? My boss is out of town and have been thinking about the reaction. I use butyl lithium at -78 when using it as a base and a nucleophile. But what about methyl grignard?

If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate

This reaction calls for CuI. So I have thought about it and realize that making the grignard (If I was) could be done at r.t. But the addition of the grignard needs to be done at -78. Thanks, but I thought a few min and realized my answer.
