Silica Gel and Sodium acrylate are used to absorb water at room temperature. Can they be placed in selected organic solvents overnight so as to absorb all water, the solvent fractionally distilled or slowly decanted ?
Is the absorbancy 100 % ?
Are they compatible with common oxy / hydrocarbon solvents ?
( eg. methanol, ethanol, acetone, toluene, benzene, IPA, etc )
It is desired NOT to use metal salts eg MgSO4, CaCl2.
