hi all,
i was wondering if there is any typeof substance that freezes, or basically just gets colder when it comes in contact with heat?
is this even possible?

Yeah, something can not get colder if you're supplying heat.

oh! i see

well, what about substances that are generally very cold in room temperature, or if you put them in the freezer they will take a looong time to melt when in contact with a hotter environment?

im refering to substances that are also readily available in stores, although i really dont mind explanations for typical elements etc.

Try dry ice (solid carbon dioxide).
