I'm sorry you haven't had any responses to your question, but asking it multiple time won't help, even with slight changes each time. First of all, I've never heard of detergent bar paste, so I can't help. From your description, it may have nothing to do with an added ingredient, but instead just a manner of fabrication of the powder. Maybe you'd have more luck if you mentioned a brand name and manufacturer, than someone with the answer may find your question via Google.
