Scheme 1

Check the reagents for ethylene formation. I think NaOEt will give an ether. Write out the mechanism of the ozonization of acetylene to ensure this gives the correct product as written by the reaction.

Scheme 2

Include numbers with reagents to indicate when reagents react sequentially rather than at once.

I have not learned any mechanisms or reactions for ether formation yet. What reagent should I use to get the ethylene then? Perhaps NaOH?
